I'm considering sending a tired Colt to Doug Jones for Accu-Rails. Has anyone had Mr. Jones fit a barrel while he has the gun? Thanks.

I’ve seen two sides of spectrum; good and so so.

He sometimes lowers the slide a little low and it can cause extra work for you. Disconnector contact and barrel bed too high; will need lowered.

Some have tight spots in slide travel. So it’s not a smart bomb approach; fire and forget.

He has done one complete rebarrel with rails for me. Another railing and refitting the same barrel. He changed link for sure, not sure what else. He has done a rail job only on a frame/slide. Always, top notch, easy to deal with in my experiences.
