Clays - Clays Hardball load recipe? Empty Clays Hardball load recipe?

Hi all; Anyone use Clays powder for their hardball loads for EIC? If so, I am looking for a starting point (maybe 4.2 grains?). I use Zero 230's, SL brass and WIN LP. Thanks in advance!

4.2 is what I have always heard.  It sounds like you are good to go.

Hello Bullseye58,

One of my favorite loads....

  • Starline or ASYM brass
  • Winchester LP primer
  • 4.2 grains of CLAYS
  • Nosler or Hornady 230 grains hardball

It should clock out at around 760 feet per second.

It is a soft shooting and very accurate load.

Good luck.

Hello Bullseye58,

I normally shoot for between 1.265" and 1.270".  I find that for hardball loads; consistancy of length is more inportant than the exact dimension.
