Pelican Gun Case Empty Pelican Gun Case

Here is my question of the moment for those shooters that use a pelican case for their gun case.  Which model pelican case do you use?

I use a 1500 and although I make it do, it is just a bit too small, so I often end up using a smaller one also and go with two cases.  The 1550 would be just right as a single case, but I'm hesitant to go that route, since I have the others in hand and they do work.

I used the 1510. It does not have the pick foam. It uses velcro dividers. I like the case, Wheels.... Love Wheels.
I use the case for all my hardware and optics. For ammo, net, paperwork, drinks... I have a range bag that goes over my shoulder.
If I'm only shooting 1 gun, I just use the bag. More than 1, they both come out.

Thanks a lot for the information.  Been thinking that I need to use a padded case for the guns with dots.  I travel a lot to matches in a 3/4 ton and put the gun box in the back.  I have had two Ultradots loose their ability to hold zero and I am starting to think that it is from all the vibration the guns get in the back of the truck.  The closest match I go to is 250 miles away.

I use the 1550 box and like it tremendously.  In the past I have set it up as a three gun box and currently have it set up as a two gun box.  Easy to replace the foam and reconfigure.  I attached a scope mount and hinges to keep it open in the wind.  I purchased mine from ebay, much cheaper than from an outlet.  I have attached some photos.

One thing I do need to work on is a scope mount. I really do not want to drill into the box as this will ruin the waterproofness.

I placed rubber washers under the bolts for the scope mount, no problems.  I am not planning on letting it get wet to the point that I will have to worry about water.
