Help - 38 BNWC .357m revolver load info
I got some 38cal 138g Button Nose Wad Cutters w/ Hi-Tech coating lube from Bayou bullets. - Like a 148 BNWC w/ the bevel base removed? -Decent looking bases & nice coating job.-- - To the range today w/ a couple diff loads to try and a 4" GP-100 (red dot sight) w/ thoughts of 1 hole rest-test groups @ 25 yards-then out to 50 yards.
NOT. - Best 12 shot 25 yard group of 4 groups was 2-1/2"C-C.-Fired from a good rest.
I'll try the 6" GP-100 next.-Maybe it'll do better?
Getting myself up for extensive trial and error load testing - & I thought, "Make it as easy as you can. -Ask on Bullseye-L".
SO
Anybody have a load suggestion for this bullet in .357m cases?-38 spl cases? I have Bullseye, TiteGroup, WST, 231, & 3/4# of VectanAS.
Thanks in advance. Russ

Re: Help - 38 BNWC .357m revolver load info
3.7 - 3.9 gr WST in .38 spl case with the Bayou 138gr BNWC is a good, accurate load. It should run about 870 -890 fps from a 6" barrel and shoot <3" at 50 yds. I found that the bullet was a bit more accurate from my guns when driven a bit faster than one may typically run WCs.Russ OR wrote:I got some 38cal 138g Button Nose Wad Cutters w/ Hi-Tech coating lube from Bayou bullets.
