Oversize 1911 pins
I'm working on a friend 1911, sear pin is .108" hole size is .112" Hammer pin is tad under .155" Hole size is .158"
Sear pis is supposed to be .110" +000/-.002 and Hammer pin .157" +.000/-.002
Anyone know where I can buy oversize pins? Do I have to make them?

I used these on a Springfield frame and they fit really well. Hammer pin is .157, sear pin .110

Re: Oversize 1911 pins
I ordered a sear and hammer pin from EGW. They checked the diameter. Hammer pin it's .1565" and sear pin .1105". Largest they have. Hammer and sear are new, I'll check the hole sizes. I'll also try the gauges pin in place of the pins to se what using larger pins will do.

Re: Oversize 1911 pins
In working on a pistol, I've run into the strange case where the sear pin is .112", measured with a mic. In doing research, the currently available sear pins from C&S and EGW measure out at .110".
Apparently, according to this article, Marvel Custom Guns did in fact make a .112" pin, but they are out of business. So:
1) Does anyone know where you can get a .112" sear pin?
and
2) What problem was this pin size trying to solve?
Thanks,
Chase

Not sure where you can get over size pin, I make them for my guns. I checked EGW, their over size sear pin is .110"
Oversize pin is to fit oversize hole in the frame. Function is to have the sear pivot on the pin not move. It insures proper hammer hook/sear engagement.

I had this issue with my High Standard and made pins out of A10. Still banging away.
