Clark Ruger 22 pistol on GunBroker
I have nothing to do with this sale. But, if someone is in the market for a great starter 22 this price can't be beat. Clark uses Lothar Walther blanks for the Ruger conversions. I have one and it'll put 10 shots of CCI Std Vel into 1" at 50 yards, that was from my RR. Just saw this and thought it would be good to share with this group.

Biggest mistake I made with mine was putting in a VQ kit at the insistence of a couple local shooters.

I've tried several VQ trigger kits including a VQ custom pistol I owned and sold, they varied from just ok to decent, none great, none in the ballpark of my 208S. Never tried a really good trigger job on earlier Ruger trigger parts, if it's earlier enough to be before MIM I wouldn't be surprised if it was better than a VQ kit.

Back in the day Clark Custom knew what they were doing with Ruger Mark .22 pistols, as well as, Ruger revolvers. I would venture to say that this one is one of the good ones, as long as, it hasn't been abused.

My first bullseye 22 was a MKII with a VQ kit and upper, the trigger was OK. But, my wife's Clark MKII trigger is a beautifully smooth short roll. It's too light for me at around 2.5 lbs but nice.
I have to agree on the 208S trigger, I shot one for years. That trigger was a work of art...

I have a Clark Mki Ruger. Mki and Mkii had Douglas barrels. I bought mine from forum member who was selling for a friend. Gun is phenomenal both for accuracy and the trigger. The trigger pull is so good I didn’t redo it myself. Runs 100%! I’ve always liked Ruger Mk’s for BE.
