REMINGTON 2 1/2 LARGE PISTOL PRIMERS

Is there any reason to not buy these primers for .45 BE target loads.
I have never used them before, only CCI & Winchester. Some are available locally for a very good price.
Just wondering since they are the only LPP available if they are any good.

They go bang just fine. But, I had trouble getting them seated deep enough with the Dillon. I normally use WW, but during a past shortage the RP were all I could get. I don't know if they are a hair bigger or what. When I went back to the WW, the problem went away.

Just something to watch out for, not a reason not to buy if its all you can get.

I use CCI #300's for BE, but use Remington for full power loads on my carry 1911.  I load everything with a Dillon SD B, and have had no problems whatsoever.  I only bought the Rem primers when I couldn't get the CCI, but would buy and use them again for all .45 Auto loads. Shoot away!

I haven't used Remingtons for quite some time, but my testing several years ago showed Remingtons to have a really good standard deviation over a chronograph.  I never experienced any loading issues on my Square Deal.
