BE/PP range near Fernandina Beach, FL ?
Thanks in advance. I am considering a home in Fernandina Beach, FL. Fernandina is just south of the Georgia border, yet north of Jacksonville. Anyone know of range suitable (50 yds) for bullseye? I am aware of Gateway in Jacksonville.

Gateway is going to be the only one and probably the closest range to you except for the indoor range on US 17 south of Florida Route 200.
Gateway is also letting the Junior 22 shooter's use the 25/50 yard pistol line on Saturdays, so using it for practice is going to be hit or miss now because you don't know when it will open.

Check out the Homeowners insurance before buying on the Island it's probably 3000 to 6000 dollars a year depending on how close to the water you are.

There is a nice state run range in St Mary’s Ga about 35-40 mins away.

I thought they closed that range, because of noise couple years ago. We shot cowboy matches there.gasixgunner wrote:There is a nice state run range in St Mary’s Ga about 35-40 mins away.

So I am guessing Home Owners Insurance is at a premium, regardless of the Flood Insurance requirements.DA/SA wrote:I’m farther South, but the key to homeowners insurance down here is to be West of I-95, which I am not…

Unfortunately homeowners insurance has taken off, especially for people along the coast it has become my biggest expense a year. So, do your homework before moving; I left Northern Virginia almost 50 years ago and love Florida, but it's not for everyone.
