Aguila -22 LR-SE Standard Velocity Ammunition
Last year at Camp Perry, many of the shooters wanted to know the velocity of the Aguila 22 LR Super Extra Standard Velocity Ammunition. I only had the published Aguila Info that stated 1200 fps. I had been told by one of the Aguila reps that the 1200 fps was from a rifle test barrel. So. I had a local Ammunition Manufacturer test the ammunition using a "X-Series" Victor Pistol with a 5 1/2" Barrel. The Average Muzzle velocity for 10rds was approx 1000 fps. I wanted to be ready with the real answer for this year. - Alan Aronstein

Hiya,
Last week I had the chronograph out for some CF/45 load testing so I ran some 22LR through it while I was getting my 22 trigger time. As I had Aguila SE figures I dropped them here.
Pardini SP New, standard length barrel
Aguila SE, Ave: 958 fps, ES: 48.1 fps, SD: 13.9/1.45%
Eley Bullseye X Pistol, Ave: 945 fps, ES: 49.2 fps, SD: 16.5/1.74%
CCI Std, Ave: 932.9 fps ES: 28.1 fps, SD: 9.2/.98%
S&W 41, 5-1/2"
Aguila SE, Ave: 986.2 fps, ES: 36.7 fps, SD: 10.3/1.04%
Eley Bullseye X Pistol, Ave: 983.4, ES: 42.8 fps, SD: 13.2/1.34%
CCI Std, Ave: 948.2 fps, ES: 55.4 fps, SD: 17.1/1.80%

Aguila SE Ammunition
Thanks for posting the additional info. I am glad that the numbers are in the area of your findings. Aguila originally had a license to use Eley Technology. Their priming mix even smelled like Eley for a number of years. I beleive that they still use some of that technology in the RF production. Aguila was originally a Remington Plant that opened in the 1960s. I suspect that the Brass, Powder and Bullets are Remington 1960 specs. The bullets and lubricant look like some Remington Pistol Match from the 1960s. I am sure of ONE Thing- It is GOOD Ammunition. I have NOT had ONE Complaint and, I sold Approx 1.5 million rds at Camp Perry last year !!! - Alan Aronstein

Aguila's website shows new packaging for Standard Velocity 22 LR. Looks as Super Extra branding is gone, although SKU number is still the same: 1B220332. I am seeing very attractive costs from various web sellers way down in sub-$3 / box. I wonder if anyone / you, Alan have experience with this new ammo, and can advise if it is any good. Thanks, AP

Ammoseek search produces lowest price of $2.15. I went through that vendor's process and shipping on 2 cases (5,000) was $83. Total about $290. Or $2.90 per box of 50 if bought in bulk. Vendor showed new packaging same as Aguila website. Aguila appear to have dropped the "super extra" name.

This is just a half of the story. This particular seller charges very hefty shipping on top of the cost of ammo, - see post by Roy Dean above. If you check other vendors on Ammoseek just below one you quoted, and run through shopping cart just short of final click, you will notice that TCO will be around $2.90 / box from all of them. And other don't have that spooky "Armscore" lettering.

I did not complete the process. I wanted to know the apparent total delivered cost. But, of course, if a deal is not 100% consumated, then it might not be 100% true.
I have ordered AgSEx online quite recently at a slightly higher price from another vendor via AmmoSeek. I have bought other ammo via AmmoSeek offers several times very successfully. I am just a customer.
The price level you have proposed for Perry is excellent. I have several club mates wanting me to buy on their behalf. Good deal.
But I am not an agent or a transport provider. I will try to shake your hand at Perry.
