Memories of Perry 2023
Well, thought I'd share some pictures with everyone. Crazy Perry this year. 22 got canceled due to a search and rescue in the splash zone. Service pistol day was steady rain. The "High Master" relay in CF saw 20mph wind gusts, and some crazy scores (felt lucky to be on relay 3!). Overall, I'm happy. Got revolver points, made P100 for the first time, held my own in teams (Go ORPA!), got my service pistol badge. Looking forward to next year!

Well done my friend! The best part of these last few weeks has been watching and celebrating the success of friends despite any changes they may have faced. This year will be a hard one to forget for sure!

Re: Memories of Perry 2023
Congrats on your achievements.
I managed to place 113th overall and 27th in my class.
The temps on center fire day had me changing my recoil spring after my first slow fire.
I had loaded my ammo in 90 degree weather after seeing a weather forecast for Perry for the temps to be in the 80s and 90s and had even increased the powder charge a tenth of a grain. Failures to extract with 4.3grs of WST under a 185gr SWCHP had me worried my short line load of 3.8grs was going to give me problems took me off my game. An 11lb recoil spring saved the day and kept my pistol running but I managed to let the recoil spring cap go sailing down range during the exchange and had to go digging for a spare one.
Survival was my best achievement.

Next time you loose a recoil spring cap grab a empty 45 case and there you go

Re: Memories of Perry 2023
You did well!
In hardball l didn’t wake up until NTT where I placed a 271 in pouring rain. Had a squib in one of the previous matches (P100?) with a bullet peaking out the end of the barrel.

Nothing like going all the way to Perry to shoot an 1800. HAHA
I was on 1st relay so I got to shoot 22 only to have it nullified.
It was a great trip.
