I wanted to brag about a 98 Slowfire target that I shot tonight during league!! (a personal best--even better than my .22 best)
I tried to tell my wife but she said the same thing she always says: "Were the targets moving this time? No? You should be able to shoot that every time then."
So I figured I should tell you guys instead!
I followed that up with an 89 timed and 87 rapid.
I need to get my head on straight for sustained fire....I just can't execute in sustained fire.....

It's a good thing I wasn't shooting a .38....it would have been a 91 if I had been shooting anything smaller than the .45!!

...and you didn't take a picture?
Congratulations! The only thing I ever cleaned with a .45 was the gun itself.

My thoughts exactly! "Good" slowfire targets get pasted to the wall in my garage/reloading room/gun-cleaning area. I have precious few of them...Larry Lang wrote:...and you didn't take a picture?

In league we shoot them on 2 separate 5 shot targets. That makes them look less cool....I will have to go dig them out of the garbage at the range....
Perhaps a photo record of the targets is a good idea...
I'm the only one who seems to take out the garbage anyway! They should still be there!

Rob--those targets are excellent! Way to go.
I haven't even attempted to shoot a 1911 bullseye style yet. That will change, probably in March.

Not everyone can shoot a 98 slow fire with a .45 ACP. Congratulations!

Great job Rob. Those are rare indeed. IMO I believe the 50 ft slow fire target is more demanding than the 50 yd slow fire target. I shot 50 ft in the Southeast Michigan league during the 70s. It was tough shooting especially the timed and rapid fire with the .45
Would you say it would have been a 100 if you were shooting a .50 cal. Just kidding!!!
