Blackhole Target Scoring App

A friend of mine showed me this interesting (and free) scoring app early this morning while we were at the range:

Unfortunately, everything (mostly) seems to be in German, which I don't understand.

Three questions:
Do any of you use this app, and is it any good?
Is there an English version available somewhere?
Is it a complete waste of time, and I should just delete it?

What's nice, is you can select the type of target you're shooting at, such as B8-C, aim your iPhone at the target with a bright area behind the target, and everything seems to be captured.  I know it does more, as in you can aim a camera at your real target while shooting, and it will record the data for you.

Assuming any of you use anything like this, is there a better app available, preferably for free?

I'm not sure I have any use for it, yet.
I think I'm better off using any free time dry-firing, not analyzing stuff I can already see.

I've never found anything that TargetScan won't process..

Watching the two minute video helps.

I will second TargetScan.  I have been using it since it first came out.  While not free, it is worth the minor cost.  Plus, the support is great as well...quick responses.

I'd be very interested in a head to head comparo with TargetScan. I find the latter great for scoring AP targets with their nice clean wadcutter holes but having to demount a 25m target every 10 shots to place against a plain background to photograph is my main criticism of it. I suspect, from reading the blurb in the Blackhole webpage, that software suffers from the same issue. If so, I really can’t see why the Blackhole people thought it worthwhile reinventing the wheel…unless I'm missing something.

One nice thing is it analyzes your target, and gives you a reasonable idea of how to adjust the sights.

In my free time, I'm still trying to understand both programs better.
