It’s second hand but in really good condition probably the biggest thing I noticed was how good the trigger pull is I am now working on suitable loads for it

6.4gr power pistol 115gr HAP, XTP, ZERO or Nosler. You might find something less expensive, lighter recoil or a different powder. But you won't find anything it likes better. 6.4 might sound like a lot. But that's a safe zippy load. The 952-2 has a slow 1:18.75 twist and needs the zippy to stabilize. On a different subject after market grips are harder to find than magazines. With very little in the way of wood working skills you can do an easy workaround. These are 1911 grips on my 952. The grip tape hides the extra screw hole.

THOSE GUNS WITH THAT RATE OF TWIST LOVE THE 147GR BULLET.
147GR XTP WITH 4.0GR OF WSF, OR 4.3GR OF VV330. SOFT SHOOTING AND VERY ACCURATE. JP

Jim, that a longer bullet does well with a slower twist seems counterintuitive. But I’m relying on thinking about rifle barrel twist rates. This stuff is weird. Jon Eulette’s report with the faster 1/13 45 acp barrels and others with super slow 1/32(?) 9mm barrels tells me that I don’t know a dam thing unless I were to go test it!
BTW I’m sitting on a few thousand 124 gr RN FMJ. Any experience with loads for that style and weight?
I have a 952-1 5” blued version but haven’t loaded for it. Frankly haven’t even shot it much.
Thanks,
Rod

The 147 XTP and 147 RN offerings from Hornady are boat tail. Less contact area and I've got great loads for them too. They are the only RN bullets that both my 9s like.

That’s a Burris FastFire3. The mount is a bit cobbled together from some bits and pieces from Burris. The dovetails are different in some pistols from different eras…so… you kinda have to wing it.
It is a 745 in 45ACP….
