Hammerli 208s Problem Cocking During Firing
Hi,
I’ve had a Hammerli 208s since 2000. I have been shooting it regularly and up until a few weeks ago it always worked. While firing the hammer would no longer reset. When I was loading it would work as normal. It looks like it no longer cocks when the trigger is pulled back. I’m thinking that it is either out of adjustment or worn. Is there one of the adjustments that could fix this? If not is there anyone working on these guns that I could send it to?
Thanks for any help.

When the trigger is pulled back? I’m confused.
If it fires and doesn’t cycle, that’s a different issue

It fires and fully ejects and loads the next round, but then the trigger is dead for the next round. When I took it apart I found that it would cock only when the trigger wasn't being pulled back.bruce martindale wrote:When the trigger is pulled back? I’m confused.

Take the grips off the pistol, mount the barrel in a set of soft jaws in a vise. Put a chamber plug/snap cap in and function test the ignition parts as in this video:

Posting a video like this would help troubleshooting alot.

I was able to adjust it based on the pilkguns web page. All rounds fired when I had it out last weekend. Thanks for providing the link.
