Colt Officers Model Match Lock Work
I'm lucky enough to have a really nice pair of Colt OMM revolvers. one in .22 and on in .38 special. Is the lock work in these guns about the same as you would find in the original Python? or is it quite different? I do love target revolvers and I have several S&W M17 and M14 as well. Couldn't tell you which I like better. Just a whole lot easier to find a gunsmith for a S&W.

I too have a pair of OMM revolvers in .22 and .38.
Yes, the lock works are similar to the Colt Python. Same design and grip frame.
