Is Bullseye in Arizona?
Hello,
I just joined the forum today. I am a bullseye shooter from CT and I plan to start looking for a place to live in the suburban Phoenix area. The internet was no help in trying to find out if there are any gun clubs that shoot bullseye matches, so I thought this forum might help. I am thinking of looking in the Sun City, Surprise, Peoria, or Glendale area. Does anyone shoot bullseye there?
Thanks in advance,
Linda

Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
I show two places in Arizona - one is in Phoenix - on my page for BE venues:
Places that host Bullseye Shooting ordered alphabetically by state
Both have active links.

Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
Thanks Ed. I was beginning to wonder. There aren't too many of us out there anymore.

I was also just noticing that CT is not even listed on your link, although there are MANY clubs around the state that are involved in bullseye. So I have to wonder if there are even more than the two that are listed for AZ.

Linda;
Phoenix rod and gun club is where it is at.
Go to the web site and click on the calendar.
I dont think all of the bullseye pistol matches are up on the current calendar but I have them on pdf in my email that I could send you if I can figure out and do it correctly
PRGC is the noted bullseye club here in Phoenix and also the International disciplines as well.
We have bullseye, 10M air pistol, free pistol, rapid fire pistol, smallbore rifle, high power rifle and others.
There are also other places to shoot like Ben Avery and Rio Salado.
But you asked about Bullseye
PM me if you like.

Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
I rely mostly on messages sent to me, to include (or, in some cases, remove) venues referenced on my page. I don't really actively seek out too many, but if I see an advertisement for a match somewhere, I might research and add that to my list. I mostly opt for those with web pages, but do include others. If you send me a list of venues that shoot BE that you're familiar with and you would like added, I'll add them. That goes for anyone else reading this, too.lincombe wrote:I was also just noticing that CT is not even listed on your link, although there are MANY clubs around the state that are involved in bullseye. Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
Clarence,
Thanks for your response. I am not ready to put matches on my calendar, as I am still in CT (brrrr, 10 degrees today). But when I come out to AZ (hopefully this year) I will definitely check out the club.

Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
Hi Ed,
Here is the URL for my club (Capitol City Rifle and Pistol Club)
http://capitolcityrp.com/
On the home page is a link: "Directions to Clubs" and that lists all the clubs we shoot with. Hope that helps.

I added most of them. I left off Middletown, since there's no site or city listed...
Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
Hey Ed,
Here's the links for Bismarck, ND.
http://www.bmrpa.org/
The club calendar as well as maps to both the indoor and outdoor ranges are there.

Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
Hi Ed,
Thanks for adding CT. But when I go to this link, I still don't see it.

P.S. Middletown is bare bones, no website, no heat. But what is notable (to me, anyway) is that my husband's grandfather founded the club.

I've added the links.
I get everything new from the (above) link you posted. Did your browser fail to update the page?lincombe wrote:Hi Ed,

As a strange coincidence(?), I get a 404 error when I try the Capitol City link in your previous message:
---------------------------------------
"404 - File or directory not found.
The resource you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."
---------------------------------------
but the link I finally got there with looks exactly the same.
Neat to hear about the club founding being in the family.
Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
Hi Ed,
Wow, that is weird! When I click on my club link above: http://capitolcityrp.com/ I get an error message too! But if I copy and paste the same link into my browser, it comes up OK.
But when I click on your link http://www.starreloaders.com/edhall/bevenues.html I don't see the CT clubs or the new Bismark, ND club that Al sent you. I can't figure out why.

Have you tried to refresh your browser? I think F5 is a standard refresh hot-key in all the browsers.
As for the 404 error, I think the trouble is that there is a trailing space as part of the link. Can you still edit your message(s) to correct that and see if the link then works?
Re: Is Bullseye in Arizona?
Tried refreshing and restarting. List still goes from Colorado to Florida.
Can anyone else can see the Connecticut clubs listed in this link?
