Dillon 550 reloading press
I just made my third repair to this press. Each repair cost me nothing, I just call the number, and tell them what part I need, and it comes in the mail in a few days.
I don't know if Dillon still offers this kind of gaurantee any more, but if they do. it is something to consider.
I've been using this press to reload .45s since 1989, and I think this kind of service deserves a shout out...Jim

Hornady, And RCBS will do the same thing, I purchased a a 550 in 1990, but traded it out for a Hornady LNL. Their both good presses just in their own way.

I’ve had my 650 for 15 years. The only minor issue was resolved with a phone call which led to parts in the mail quite promptly. Great service!

I bought a used 550 to augment the one I already had and it also receives never ending support. They never ask you to send the old part in. I love Dillon.

Re: Dillon 550 reloading press
I have a pair of Hornady LnL Ammo Plant presses with the first one bought in 2010. Two months ago, after loading tens of thousands of rounds, the press just locked up. I called Hornady and they said, send it in, prepaid postage emailed to me. I sent it along and 1 week later it came back fully overhauled at no charge whatsoever with a whole bunch of new parts including the ram. They also send out press parts, no questions asked, you call, they send it.

Re: Dillon 550 reloading press
Nearly 20 yrs ago I helped a new reloader set up a 650. When we got it running the primer feed just did not work. We called Dillon and explained the prob. They replied "return it for repair". The owner had ditched the boxes and Dillon sent new ones. A couple weeks later I saw the fellow and he told me the press was returned quickly and was running fine. All of this at no cost.
The reports here concerning service are encouraging indeed. Especially considering the times we are living in!

I’m glad to hear people are having luck with Hornady. I had a projector decades ago that they were constantly making me buy parts for and the parts never fixed the problem. I now have 3 650s and a 1050. Dillon service may not always be quick(out of stock) but they have always helpful.
