Al's gunshop 1911 wadgun??
Hello everyone,
I bought a colt early 70's series 1911 that was gunsmithed into a great wadgun. Full bomar rib, pre-stippling on front straps and a small hole in the main spring housing where with an allen wrench I belive one can adjust the trigger pull. The slide has the name Al's gunshop.
Does anyone have info about this gun??
Thanks

I thought Dinan went by Alton, not Al. Got a picture of it?

Alton was his name he used in publishing, but I think he would answer to Al. But…this being a series “70” gun, I’m not sure when Dinan quit gunsmithing. Certainly not far into the 1970s…
Update Al Dinan was killed in an automobile accident in 1977, he was 60.
I would also like to say the Al Dinan was likely the best source for 45 accuracy loading techniques. He preferred a ROLL crimp on his 45 ammo. And he preferred a softer alloy to cast his bullets.

Google found Al Greco out of PA? Al's Customs. Been building 1911s since 1985? Fits the timeframe.
