Vv N320 loads 45 acp
Web data is too fast and heavy!
What are you loading for 1) 185 jkt, 2) 200 lead, and 3) 9mm
I’m going to assume that it isn’t a good choice for 185 lead but you may surprise me
Thank you in advance

Re: Vv N320 loads 45 acp
V320 not my first choice for 45aacp. Maybe with JHP its ok.
With 4.5gn LSWC 200gn it was very temperature sensitive and erratic at the 50 yard line.
Both with 38 Special and 45acp I also found it might have cracked cases more than w231 wst or vv310.
I understand it might be the cat's meow for 9mm.

I have had very good success using N320 in both 9mm and .38 Super. I have not tried N320 in .45 ACP, since there, I use N310 or WST. WST is another great powder for .38 Super but not so much in 9mm. WST is also a very good .38 Spl powder.

Re: Vv N320 loads 45 acp
I 've been working on a load myself using VV N320 for .45 acp
focusing on 200gn JHP projectiles and 205gn moly coated flat top projectiles
using Winchester LPP. I have a single stage reloading press (Forster Co-Ax) and weigh out each individual load. I only shoot paper targets.
I have 2 different .45 caliber 1911 pistols, in both with either projectile 5.8 gn of VVN320 seems to work very well. I do a mild taper crimp.
(unfortunately i do not own a chronograph so i can't comment on velocity)
hope this helps.

For 45 with the 185gr JHP or up to 200gr LSWC, from VV, N310 is the go-toCmysix wrote:OKAY, then. which VV powder would be more suitable to the 45 if 320 is a bit slow? TYIA.
