Want to TRY Zero 185 gr HP-SWC
Sirs,
I am getting back to reloading after a long term infirmity. I want to use the 185 gr Zero type HPSWC. But I want try 100 before I order a large amount.
How can I get 100 bullets for test/trial? I would gladly swap some .22 LR Target ammo, or pay cash.
Thank you,
Jerry Lehrer

Very good bullet, but not nearly as good as the Zero 200gn L-SWC. The 185gn has a much narrower range of powders and charge weights that it is accurate with.
Tried to send a summary of my data, but message was too long.

I have tried the 200gr Zero bullet. It is NFG in my 6" Clark. That is why I want to try the 185gr.
What are the "narrow range of powders and charge weights" that is good for the 185 Zero.

Jerry,
I shoot 3.8~3.95 gr N310 or Clays with Winchester primers.

In my gun, I can load the Zero 200gn with almost any powder and charge weight and have an accurate load. With the 185gn, I have found the following:
5.0-5.2gn 231/HP38
3.8-4.3gn AA2
3.8gn N310
4.1gn Red Dot
4.0gn Solo 1000
4.3-4.4gn WST
Those charge weight ranges are just too small to give me confidence--I don't have faith in "magic" charge weights.
