Range officer question Empty Range officer question

I see some Springfield Range Officers with “RO Target” engraved on the slide and others that look the same without the engraving.  Is there a real difference in these?

I believe that is indicative of a later production. The ones I have from roughly 2018 and earlier did not have that marking.

I have one of each and other than the Range Officer marking on one, I cannot tell any difference.
