Front sight twitch at shot break
I am at a wall for improvement at the low to mid 90s. When dry firing I see the front sight move. I can not consistently keep the movement at the 10-ring magnitude.
I can hold at the 9 ring, or better, radius.
IT is not a slight twitch from the hammer momentum. IT is not asymmetrical force on the trigger. I have addressed the trigger reach fitting.
IT seems to be an involuntary muscle twitch in my hand or arm.
I also shoot flintlocks and bows. Follow through is everything there too. I am focusing on follow through.
What is the psychological trick to stop all muscle activation as the shot breaks? How do I learn it?

Re: Front sight twitch at shot break
I had a bout with that last year for no apparent reason. I had never done it before but suddenly I was doing it and throwing 6's or worse.
What I did to correct it was to train myself to not hold so long and break a shot within 5 sec. In dry fire training I count it out but in live fire I can do it without counting which is what I hoped would happen. I have not had the twitch yet this year so I think I'm on the right track. I think I may have been holding too long.

Kind of sounds like shot anticipation, as you are thinking that the shot should go off sooner than it does and the trigger pull is slightly interrupted, or paused and then you start it again and induce movement.
It could be something else too. I can't say I have ever watched you shoot or dryfire.

Perhaps you could see if this is helpful:
Improving Hold and Trigger Manipulation
It sounds to me as though you need to work with a more determined trigger operation.

You mean to reference iron sights? If one substitutes the front sight for the dot and the rear sight for the tube, with a little study, that should "align" well between the two sighting systems. I'll look a little closer to see if it does for me.
