Duplicating trigger feel from one pistol to another
I prefer the stock trigger feel on my HB Les Baer and would like to have the same feel from it on my stock LB wadcutter trigger. Is an ordinary gunsmith able to replicate the trigger feel from one pistol to another or is this a job of one of our bullseye gunsmiths?
Re: Duplicating trigger feel from one pistol to another
I think that’s a tough thing to do
Id recommend Doug Hall

I second Bruce. Doug is a wizard with his specialist equipment.

Nearly impossible, Brandon Bunker and Doug Hall blue print guns so it is possible.
I put the same sear and hammer, springs in all my 1911 and they all feel different some times way different and I do things the same way every time.
I have two RO and they both feel different. Close but different.

Re: Duplicating trigger feel from one pistol to another
In my experience Doug Hall didn't do a good job at replicating the feel of one trigger to another gun. He first claimed the pistol I want copied had a bad fit and was borderline unsafe, the pistol was done by Jon and has never had a trigger malfunction. He then returned both pistols and they didn't feel the same. He eventually did additional work to get them closer. Just because you can measure the dynamics of the trigger pull doesn't mean you can replicate the feel.

Mr Jon Shue showed me my (~2022) Rock River sear and hammer in a fixture under magnification. It was a saw tooth interface of non parallel surfaces. If that's the trigger I wanted to replicate, it wouldn't be easy. He made it look like a text book trigger job and my 4lb trigger feels like much less now.
