Staccato XL
Hello to everyone,
First time poster. Here is my question, will a Staccato XL have sufficient accuracy and precision to be competitive at the 50 yard line? They accuracy test their guns at 7 yards, which doesn't mean anything at the 50 yard line. But, everyone says they are super accurate. Thanks for your all your replies.

Re: Staccato XL
Welcome to the Bullseye forums.
The Shooting Sports USA test had factory load data at 25 yards from a rest.
All loads tested would group into the 10 ring at 25 yards.
At 50, more like an 8/9 ring gun.
50 yard slow fire Standard American Target 8, 9 and 10 rings black.
X ring ......................1.695 in
10 ring .....................3.36 in
9 ring .......................5.54 in
8 ring .......................8.00 in
7 ring .....................11.00 in
6 ring .....................14.80 in
5 ring .....................19.68 in
25 yard rapid or timed fire - Exactly the same target as the 50 yard slow fire except that only the 9 and 10 rings are black.

The American Rifleman review of the Staccato 2011 P did a little better-

Re: Staccato XL
Most 2011s are built for a different game. One major component to 50 yard accuracy is ammo, it doesn’t matter if you have the best built gun in the world, if you are not using the appropriate ammo 50yards would be suboptimal.
In general people’s definition of “accurate” typically is in regards to how well they feel they can shoot a particular gun, rather than the capability of the gun.
For reference, I don’t think I have ever seen a 2011 at a bullseye match. That said, I think they are kinda cool, eventually would like to get one to mess with a bit.

I've not seen a 2011 at a bullseye match, but ti thought the Pardini GT45 was a similar size if not better quality.

Sidetrack alert:
I've only ever seen one Pardini GT45 in the wild. The one I've seen, the grips were very large and damn near Free Pistol wraparound. (I think it's been pretty well-established on this forum that I have tiny little teenage-girl hands, though.)
Shane seemed to do alright with it though. 6th at Camp Perry in the .45 match is nothing to sneeze at.

Thanks for all your help guys. I'll get a 1911 BE gun or Pardini.

GT 45 is nice but the grips are big and boxy. The trigger is nice. I 1911 is not the platform for you ...... Then maybe try a CZ 97 Cajun Gun Works can accurize and
