Re: Cabot disco cut
Many including myself, have filed a ramp or machined one in the front of the slide. This supposedly makes it operate more smoothly going back over the disconnect and into battery.
Never really sure it helped that much.
Not sure what that is, but could be something like that?

Re: Cabot disco cut
I filed one myself and made a smoother cut on the disco to help with slide racking. But this is so different and weird. Almost goes back to the days when disco cut was a hole, but this is a hole with a notch. Makes me think this is their way to avoid the disco click.

Is it possible the "notch" is somehow adjustable from the top to control how far the disco can pop up when in battery? Or maybe an insert set during the build?

If there is adjustment on the top then its under the sight, maybe visible in the firing pin channel. Will look more closely next time if this part has gaps around it indicating adjustability. On the other hand it's not flat, so the wedge shape was meant to do something.

The round recess reminds me of an early Colt disconnector cut. Except for the weird termination/top of the hole. Hard to determine it's geometry from the photo. Stepped? "Tent"? "V"? None of the above?

Looks like a way to adjust the sear feet to disconnector pad engagement.
