Pocket sized stapler
I picked up my range box and thought I might dislocate a joint.... time to shed some weight!
I've seen a few guys using a small pocket sized stapler gun. I would also like to retire my heavy duty model.. What model staple gun fits in a back pocket easy?
Aarow JT21?

I use something like this:
https://www.lowes.com/pd/Arrow-TT21-Manual-Staple-Gun/4778294
It's more ergonomic and easier to operate than a standard design.

Thanks. I will look at them. I just want a type that I can slip in the back pocket. Then I will only need 3 hands when going up to score...Dulcmrman wrote:I use something like this:

I have heard people swear by them. All I did was swear at them. No power. Yes, I used 1/4" staples.

I really like my Dewalt Carbon Fiber full size stapler.
Light weight, easy to operate, and it has a clip to clip on your pocket.

I generally take my clipboard & pencil, stapler & extra staples, pasters, and targets to the target on my first trip there and leave them. That way, everything I need is already there. Being the forgetful type, I make fewer trips that way.ding-a-ling wrote:Thanks. I will look at them. I just want a type that I can slip in the back pocket. +1 to Dewalt Carbon Fiber stapler!
• It may not be pocket size but the belt clip makes it a breeze to carry out and put on your pants/pocket(I don't use belts)
• Very lightweight
• 2nd easiest stapler I've used, easiest stapler is one that's no longer made. I find it easier to use than my Arrow electronic stapler

Re: Pocket sized stapler
The first time I leave my stapler or tape at the target line, will be the first time I shank a shot off the target frame and put a hole in both. I am convinced of this.....james r chapman wrote:Dulcmrman wrote:I generally take my clipboard & pencil, stapler & extra staples, pasters, and targets to the target on my first trip there and leave them. Re: Pocket sized stapler
If weight saving is one of your objectives I highly recommend the Stanley TR35. Unlikely to last a lifetime, but mine have survived several seasons of hard use. The firing lever also conveniently stows in the body for easy storage in a box.
Cheapest source probably here:-

Some time ago I started a thread about the home made tote I use - specifically tailored to the TR35:-

Arrow JT21 for me. I’ve had mine for 30 plus years and it still works like a champ. The all plastic models are probably going to be lighter but the JT21 is fairly light and compact.

I have several JT21s I bought about 10 - 12 years ago. One broke and a new replacement had crappier finish and edges than the older ones. Crapitalism.

+1 for the Surebonder 5580. It is small enough and even has a place to add oil to the firing mechanism to keep it running smoothly - not as though that feature would have any appeal to this group
