That's about double the pre-Newtown price.

Happened to be in my local Cabelas earlier in the week picking up some cleaning supplies.
Just got in a shipment of CCI SV and was stocking the shelf at $4.75 per box with a maximum 2 box purchase.
Asked if they had bricks...no, just bricks of Blazer that they were putting on the shelf.

I would say the pre-Newtown price at Walmart was $3.50/box.  I've been running low so I just ordered some.  Thanks for the heads up!

Through last summer and fall I was paying close to that ($3.50-$3.75) at my LGS - when they could get some. I am just back from living somewhere warmer for the winter and haven't made it in to see how this year is looking. A visit to the newly opened, local Bass Pro Shop showed no .22 rimfire on the shelves.

Before I would pay 5 bucks for cci-sv id buy much better eley club, sk or wolf.

I just went to their site and now it is $5.99/50.

Well, the $5.99 is about what I am almost ashamed to say I paid for a brick last month. That was still less than the few other things available online that week, like Norma "Tactical" (have NEVER seen an accuracy test of that stuff) for something like $8/50 and one of Aquila's various match loads, then the Eley Club Extra for $14/50 or so.

Even at higher prices, they are coming down and stuff is actually AVAILABLE more often, perhaps "often enough" if we are patient.

SK,&  wolf at champions choice is 6.00 or less a box, eley target and club under 8.00, all will shoot rings (X ones that is) around CCi sv paperbox. everyone might as get use to the idea that cheap 22 is gone the new price will be 4.00 up, its like gas remember when everyone screamed when it went passed 1.99 a gallon, now we run to buy it for 3.49 and are happy to get it.
