Bullseye -L, I liked the old way
Well now that we are on this new format, I must say that I do not like it as much as I did the old email method. In the past I could look at the emails, look for subjects of interest read and or archive for later reference. I look at this new site and it seem that a lot of the postings are old, going back to the first weeks of it's inseption. It seems cluttered and hard to navigate. Maybe I missed the boat but is there a part of this site that is like the old one?
Going to the latest 10 posts gives me old articles. Maybe I don't know how to get around this type of forum? Art Gonzalez, Houghton Lake, MI

Art, I'm on both. I've found the best way for me is to click on "View posts since last visit".
The older posts I've seen, discarded or noted for future use by clicking actions...add to 'Favourites'.
There are good and bad points to each style. Can there be too much BE info???

The email post from the Bullseye L Google Group does not show up here, although some people joined both groups and do post the same subject matter in each location.
This is more along the lines of a traditional forum and allows you pick and choose what you want to read and can quickly find topic that interest you.

I never used that email type forum...It simply was too much of a pain to keep the timeline straight. I like this one and will stick with this! Thanks Joe!

One of the most irritating things about the email protocol is the habit of some posters who do not include the previous posts in their responses on a particular topic. So, if you come in during the middle of the discussion, you are either lost or have to go back through all of the emails on that subject to get gist of the entire discussion.
Not so here. In this format you can follow the discussion from beginning to end with no interruption. Much better from my perspective.

I too like this format more than the old email list.
Great job by all involved!
Thanks!

Agreed

Another irritation of the old email was the changed subject lines. And poor subject wording initially. But worst of all was the subject line = "digest" . Makes searching real tough.
Subject line wording, and forum rooms titles, should be chosen to be very relevant*.

When the old list folded I joined both this and the new e-mail version. Until recently I didn't follow this one much but now that I have started checking in regular I have to say this one kind of grows on you. I very much like the way it is organized into categories and the fact that we can post pictures.

I just rediscovered this Forum List. It's more like the other shooting forums I belong to. I was a member of the old List but never really followed the google group. I'm just glad I took the time today to sign up, again.

I personally much prefer the forum format.
It keeps me from having to change my e-mail rules to route anything with the word 'primers' or 'shortage' to garbage every few weeks when those e-mails would flood in hiding any real information.
