And What About Federal ULTRA Match .22 LR?
All one LGS got in 10 or so days ago was some Federal UltraMatch at $19.99/50. UM
Now I was really sad and downhearted way back when, when Winchester Mark III went away, and then later on when whatever version of Federal Uber-Match they cooked up for the '84 Olympics faded out. Federal 711A and 711B just never did all that outstandingly out of my rifle...
Anyway, I told the guy there I wasn't planning to be shooting in the Olympics this week and passed on that stuff.
Fully double the cost of Eley Target per WikiArms...1/3 more than Eley Match Lead Flat Nose RE22EPS...and a dollar a box more than RWS R50...
Could it really be that good???

IĀ used Federal GM Ultra Match when competed in small bore rifle. It out shot Eley Tenex in my rifle. Not something I would pay for use in bullseye pistol.

Hey Grumpy:
That is way out of my price range for my bullseye pistol but if that grouped in the 0.19 inch range at 50 yards in my rimfire benchrest gun or sub 1 inch at 100 yards, I would be all over it. Been a while since I tested a lot of the federal ultra match (not to be confused with the federal auto match) but it did produce some good groups compared to the price.
Regards,
Cranky
