Brass Catcher Empty Brass Catcher

Post by Axehandle 6/4/2014, 3:27 pm

Shot my first match in 18 years last weekend...  Everyone on the line has a free standing brass catcher.  What an exceptional idea!   This will make my 32s so much easier to shoot inside and out.  My old back will be glad I'm not picking up 38 Super and 45 Brass too.   I see home made and store bought versions.  Champions Choice has one in the catalogue but it is sold out.  Who makes the best catcher?

go to harbor  freight or other and buy a pick up tool, it saves backs and knees, CMM is the standard by which all brass catchers are measured, there are others but none better or imo even equal.

No doubt the pickup tool is a nice addition if the brass is where you can see it!  These 32s throw brass like a maniac.   That CMM catcher does look to be the cadillac of the catchers.

I've got a CM Machine.  I would likely trade it for the Champion's Choice model.

Many cases bounce out of my catcher as it fills up.  The rear net acts like a tennis racket to cases.

With a tuned 1911, it catches cases well.  With a Beretta, you need a really big catcher.  The brass leaves at all kinds of crazy angles.

I have the Cmm. I love it. Catches 98 out of ever 100 I shoot. The only downside is the extra bulk. I have the shooting box attachment and it definitely makes it heavier and more awkward to carry.
