Aimpoint H-1 on Model 41 Empty Aimpoint H-1 on Model 41

Well, I broke down and bought an H-1 for my Model 41. It mounts nice and tight on the weaver mount. I haven't shot it yet,
but the quality of the optics and the dot is outstanding. My question is does it matter where the sight is mounted on the rail?
I can mount it mid way on the rail, or all the way in the forward position? Any advantages to either position based on hand position
vs bore axis in relation to the position of the sight? I would think the further out toward the front sight, the more shaking would be apparent.

I ended up with mine so the rear of the H-1 is inline with the chamber. When the H-1 was was mounted on the rib tang over the slide, I could feel a vibration every shot. Didn't try it near the muzzle.
Hope this helps.

"was mounted on the rib tang", I assume you mean the furthest aft position where mine is now. I guess it makes sense to mount it in the middle position if you wanted to achieve the same balance as a full size aimpoint. Thanks.

Place the mass over your grip if you can. Follow the line of the grip

I'd position the sight so the weight balance is to your liking.

Guess I'll try it in all positions and see what works best.
