Range Officer 45 now has KC's Battle Ax Kit and a Nelson conversion.  Worked absolutely fine with CCI SV, Aguila, and Wolf.  I only shot sustained today and cleaned every target.  The remaining RO trigger parts need smoothing to go along with the KC Kit.    The RO leaf spring is kind of sucky. It took a kink more than a bend when I tried to lighten it.    I will get with Roddy for a real spring there.    And I kind of like the disassembly feature in the locking MSH where you can cock the pistol and hold the MS with a pin.

One of the reasons the leaf spring needed such a large adjustment is because of the RO mainspring upper plunger is so much longer than a GI one.  Even if you use a mainspring that is a lighter weight than the 30+ pound stock RO spring, the longer plunger causes the lighter spring to be far more compressed than it should creating more load on the hammer hooks--increasing the trigger weight.

If you replace the top mainspring plunger and use the mainspring that KC recommends, it will be easier to maintain the trigger pull weight that you want with the leaf spring adjusted in a way that is within it's usual range.
