2,000 Zero 45ACP 185gr SWHP, I've been trying to order these for several months.  I finally hit the timing right.

What's your load with that bullet?

A question for those using the swaged Zero 185 SWCHP.  How well do the bullet bases make it through shipping?

All my swaged Zero bullets have made it though shipping just fine.
I found that the Zero 200gn L-SWC was more consistently accurate.
For the 185gn L-SWCHP:
Around 5.0gn 231/HP38
3.8-4.3gn AA2
Around 3.8gn N310
4.0-4.3gn Red Dot
Around 4.0gn Solo 1000
Around 4.3-4.4gn WST

I'm going to be using these primarily on the short line and indoor this winter (soft loads).  I haven't developed a load yet but I'm starting with 3.2gr of Clays or 3.8 of WST.  I'm going to work down until the gun doesn't cycle and then work my way back up until the gun cycles and the load is accurate for 25yds.

Currently I am shooting a 200gr LSWC for short and long lines, same load for both. 3.6gr of Clays.  I will also be looking at loading the 185's for the short line so they have the same zero as the 200's on the long line.


Al, The bullet bases showed no signs of damage from shipment.

Outdoor season is winding down - time to do load development for next season.

Those bullets work great with 4.4 700x.  I think that is what Team Zero gets loaded for them.

4.0 of BE pushes them very nicely at the short line.

They come through shipping fine.  I had one order arrive damaged and Roze Distribution( the online retailer for Zero) promptly replaced the order.  I have ordered well over 20k and other than the order mentioned above all were just fine. 

My load for the 185 LSWCHP is 4.3 WST or 4.0 N310
