This is another "what would you do"
I am looking for a 14-6 full lug revolver and this pistol keeps coming up on my searches. I have contacted the seller and let him know that he was advertising the wrong pistol. I have been ignored completely. Does anyone know a way to contact GunBroker to have him change it? Or, is this just another case of let the buyer beware and I should just forget it and move on? The pistol for sale is nice, but not a full lug 14-6.

Looks like he removed 14-6 from the listing title and description.

Steve B.
If you look at the high bidder on the one you just posted you will find my name. I will find out in about an hour and 40 min if I win it. The other listing still has the 14-6 in the boiler plate of the pistol he is selling. Everything it describes is about a different pistol. Your pistol is a thing of beauty.

I watched some other 14-6 guns from that seller that went for over 1200 last month.
I picked mine up a few months ago for, I hate to say it, just over 500.

I saw one go for almost 1400 so don't feel too burnt. I just ran out of excuses to not get DSR points. Hope I wasn't bidding against his brother/cousin etc

I earned the DR badge 2 years ago with a 14-4 but felt the gun was to barrel light. That year at Perry I placed 3rd at the DR match but felt I could have done much better. I'd like to try to win that match using the 14-6. Hopefully it's accurate enough.

Re: This is another "what would you do"
I got 6 points with my model 27 then picked up a 14-8. I have that pistol being worked on right now (14-) but I am not holding out any hopes that it will ever work right for me. Like you said it is very barrel light. The 27 is a great 357 mag but doesn't do as well with the 38 special. I just ran out of excuses with this 14-6. I might have to shoot some Reeves matches with it this fall and leave my 25-2 home. I would have had my DSR a long time ago if I could use it. And what strange thought process makes the NRA think a pistol that was designed for the service when they couldn't make enough 1911's back in 1915 not a Distinguished Service Revolver? Oh well, I bet the pistol you have now is accurate enough. In the make you feel bad category I paid 179.00 for my Model 41.
Ok,that was in 1974 but...
