Anyone been to SHOT Show? I'm thinking about attending the one in January 2015. Worth going?

If you didn't know this, the NSSF being held in Vegas in Jan. is trade only event and not open to the public. If you work for a company that has an NSSF membership you can register using your company ID.
I wasn't sure if this was the show you were referring too but I'd thought I'd pass that info. along.

and yes if you can go do it at least once.

No, I didn't know it was a trade only event. Drats! Thought it would be a good way to handle a GT45.dronning wrote:If you didn't know this, the NSSF being held in Vegas in Jan. is trade only event and not open to the public. See:

It is fairly restricted as to who can get in. Are you friendly with any gun-related companies in your neighborhood?

Not really but I'm open to creative ideas on how to get in. I'm only a couple of hours away from Vegas and shop, dine, etc. there at least once a month.jwax wrote:See:

We will have our regular Oregon Precision Arms pistols along with two new versions of our uppers one with a carbon fiber tensioned barrel.
Re: SHOT Show 2015
I have been three times over the years.
First time (not long before law school), I was working for some ex-teachers hawking Russian night vision and day optics. Fun enough, but an an underpaid employee of an exhibitor, my duties did not include circulating looking to cut deals with other exhibitors. The two hours I took at the end of one shift to wander was worth it, though.
Second time I was legal counsel to a now-defunct small trade player located in LV, who was attending, not exhibiting. That was the creative way to get in. Worth the $50 I remember paying to open the door. Just wish I had more time to pass around cards.
Last time, um, this never really happened but was a dream of mine, okay? An attendee was there for only the first whatever days, left town before the last day started. No one was checking photo IDs against the attendee badges... So I was functionally the guest of his companion attendee. But that never really happened, ya know.
Yeah, SHOT Show, you DO need those steenkin' badges, even if you are Federales.

Re: SHOT Show 2015
Well, I made a few feeble attempts in trying to get into Shot Show but hit a soft wall. Actually, I had a few contacts that would find a way to get me in but it seemed more trouble than it was worth. Not a problem though especially since Dipnet already answered the only question I was hoping to resolve there. Are there any other similar shows at the consumer level?

Thanks Mike! The show in Nashville is more to my liking. You don't know how much I hate Las Vegas.

Easy, wife likes to go there. Shop and dine should've been your first clue. Thought if I was there I could at least do something I like.desben wrote:beeser wrote:I'm only a couple of hours away from Vegas and shop, dine, etc. there at least once a month.beeser wrote:You don't know how much I hate Las Vegas.
