The lighter ones, that I can actually lift onto the bench.djm026 wrote:Looking at a 4 gun strong case with the extra drawer on bottom any input on this box??

The configuration you are talking about weighs 22 pounds empty. Probably over 40 with 4 guns, and gear.
I love my Kalispel bullseye box. Creedmore used to sell them, but not in quite a while.
I would probably go with a Pelikan case now. They have wheels. :-).

Re: Bullseye gun boxes
Buy the 3 gun (long) Strong Box, the four gun unit is too large. Several guys bought the 4 gun model and then sold them ,bought the 3 gun instead. The drawer on the bottem makes the unit too tall and heavy. Another one of my shooters bought the drawer and used it twice and took it off.
Trust me ,buy the 3 gun (for two pistols) and use a range bag to carry more guns and ammo.
You'll be very happy with the 3 gun unit.

I agree, the drawer adds too much height and weight. If I had it to do over, I'd skip the drawer and get a tool bag from Home Depot to carry all the stuff I don't really need to have on the bench while shooting.

Re: Bullseye gun boxes
I have the four gun and find that the spacing for the four guns is to close together for guns with redots and revolvers in the mix, also the clamps need to be moved so the red dots mount don't hit the clamps think I will take mine apart and relocate.
and if you are old you need a wagon to hall it after you fill it up!

It seems to me that the stuff you NEED will expand to fill all space availible and get heavier.

I'm using my 3-Gun Low Profile and a Bob Allen ammo bag over the past several months since my back is bugging. The 6 pound box helps. Add 4-5 pounds for guns in the box, and counter that on my other side with the ammo bag.

Re: Bullseye gun boxes
I tried the 4 gun TNB Tuff Box, way too big and decided to go with a 3 gun box, glad I did. With everything packed inside that I need it's pretty heavy. I'm glad I don't have an extra drawer on it. If I wanted a 4 gun box, I think I would go with a wooden one from Precision Pistol Box.
