Hammerli Xesse Sport Comp
I was hoping to get some first hand feed back on the Hammerli Xesse Sport Comp model for bullseye shooting. How does it compare to some of the more popular choices, S&W 41, Pardini SP and of course the Hammerli 208S? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have the Xesse. From a bench rest, will punch out the x-ring of a slow fire target at 26 yards. CCI SV works well but tends to leaves a waxy residue on the ramp and in the chamber. Still works well but not reliable enough for a match. I use the CCI for practice and Center-X for competition (after cleaning). Overall, for the price and quality, I'm very happy with the Hammerli.

I bought one of those for my son last week. He will shoot it for the first time in our league tomorrow evening.
After mounting a scope, I fired about 60 rounds through it with only one extraction failure. I used CCI Standard Velocity, SK Rifle Match (the one failure), and Eley Club.
Larry's Guns provided outstanding service. I called them the afternoon of New Year's Eve, and had it two days later.
I highly recommend Larry's upgraded trigger. It is crisp and clean. It will pick 2.25 pounds, but not 2.5.
More later.

great gun for the price much better than a 41, comparable imo to a 208s and pardini and they are very reliable

My friend bought two Xesse from larry's guns a 4" and a 6" that had a Larry's trigger job . After a year and a half of use had too many problems with them including a cracked trigger guard ! went back to Larrys several times !
Sold them & bought two S&W model 41's, no problems so far and his scores came up almost 10 points and he is also now shooting more consistant scores !
Have 3 as new mags and a as new Larry's guns scope mount for sale !
mags New $35.00 each, sell $25.00 each( MAGS SOLD PENDING FUNDS)
scope mt new $150.00, sell $80.00 shipped STILL AVILABLE !

Follow-up with the new gun.................
My son shot the new X-esse tonight. 278 National Match Course, with a 99 Timed Fire. His best score of the season with zero problems.
He loves it! Could be a little "New Gun Syndrome" involved, but he is extremely happy with it.
I will probably sell an occasionally problematical S&W 41 and buy another one of these.
I will take your 4 mags for $100, including shipping.

I didn't like the factory anatomic grips, installed some Rink grips, and finally installed some CMM grip adapters with Hogue aluminum panels covered in 3M grip tape. Larry's Guns Inc trigger and 160g front weight.

Re: Hammerli Xesse Sport Comp
Still on the fence. I currently own a 41 and am shooting mid to upper 270's with some occassional 280's ( when the slow fire gods are smiling). I love the firearm but for me it seems a little unforgiving. And I know it's "ALL ME"! Just looking for something to help break out of expert, if possible. I'v shot the Pardini SP and shoot better with it, however it's illegal to purchase in Ct now. Love the 208S but $2500 is to much to spend for a few points in average. Was hoping the Xesse was a perfect fit. Thanks for your advise! Keep them coming.
