9mm Range Officer
I finally was able to load some SWCs for the 9mm Range Officer and was very pleased with the results. It's a bit louder and has more snap than the .45 Range Officer with 185g SWCs but it still feels good. This has produced the best groups I've shot to date including out of my 52.

Good to hear I have a couple of thousand of the Penn 115gr waiting for my 9 to arrive. Normally I will be shooting the Hornady 115gr HAP but several of the indoor matches I attend don't allow Jacketed ammo.

Well my standard buy is 5 Tripp mags with every 1911 I buy. I don't think I'll be buying 18 like I use for the 45 because I acquired them 5 at a time. I actually have over 40 1911 45 mags, at least 30 of them are Tripps.ChipEck wrote:So how many magazines have you acquired for that 9?

This post would be worthless without a picture!

For others....you should have seen Brian Zin's face when he looked in Dave's pistol box. His mouth literally fell open...I think he said something like; "Are you kidding me?", but maybe not

Re: 9mm Range Officer
I was wondering why there weren't 18 mags for the 22 lined up with them.

Re: 9mm Range Officer
Dave, I have 3 Mec-Gar mags for your 9. Just got in last night so I need to do the final fitting to the gun. Should ship beginning of next week. Yes I got your mail.
Re: 9mm Range Officer
Using 18 mags for a match wasn't my idea originally. I was headed out to the range one day and decided to load up everything I had. With over 200 rounds "preloaded" one of my fellow shooters asked if I did that when I shoot a match. Before that I had never thought of it.
My .22 mags are plastic (Nelson) and won't stick to the magnet LOL. Plus there are only 5.
I do have 5 mags for each of my .22's that's at least 60 mags but several different makes of guns.

I have been gathering my High Standard magazines for over 40 years. If I loaded them all I think I could do most of an all 22 2700. That would require a gun change somewhere between matches from Military frame to slant grip.

I know. Have shot HS 102-107 since 1969. They call me "hamden" on other 4-ums. Age and dot sights made me try other lighter guns. Worn out shoulder joints added to the need. I finally found a Lombardi aluminum barrel. Maybe I should go back to my BE roots. I used to shoot my 106 bull barrel Trophy with a 6 oz homemade weight out front.
