pre loading magazines
I expect it to be cold tomorrow at a match. Is it wise to preload magazines (3) tonight for my buckmark for the .22 SF stages instead of loading them in them in the cold? This way they stay warm in my pocket until needed.

Re: pre loading magazines
I try to have as little to do besides shoot when I get to a match.
I also keep chemical hand warmers around to keep things loose.
If it's really cold you can set one on the gun between strings & one in a jacket pocket to keep the mags warm.

I shoot federal automatch when it's really cold...it's gotta be below 40F for me to change anything.

Re: pre loading magazines
I keep mine in my pocket. It's been a mite brisk in Central NY but I haven't had many problems. Occasional problem with shell not clearing but I just started putting a drop of oil on the top bullet of the magazine and that seems to have cleared up the problem. I always load 3 in case of an alibi but haven't needed it the last couple of weeks since I started the oil. Enjoy that Buckmark. I enjoy mine.
