As Issued 1911
Are these still WW2 style pistols only, or are beaver tails allowed?
With the new Colt finding some use and all the rules changes, I'm curious particularly about what folks used in Oklahoma.

Re: As Issued 1911
Last year it was GI 1911.
Rules state. It is the intent of this rule that reasonable flexibility must be applied in determining if the pistol is an M1911-type pistol within the spirit and intent of this rule. I would give the CMP a call to clarify.

Rules are pretty clear any 1911 frame pistol iron sight can have beaver tail slide serrations, iron sights, the will also allow speed triggers and holes on frames and slides from a scope mount.
Looks like the only prohibited modification is a Bomar style he a very rib.
I would look at the USMC Socom pistols as the limit as to how far you can go.
4 lbs trigger, rules are up on the cmp website.

I have not had time to study completely the rules. But there are two sets. One for Service Rifle and Pistol, and another for CMP Games. This "as issued" seems to appear in the Games Rules.

As I read the rules for the CMP games, a Springfield Mil Spec qualifies for the as issued match (and you must shoot 230g ball ammo) but the Springfield Range officer would not, as it does not have fixed sights.
