New Powder baffle Empty New Powder baffle

Post by DavidR 5/6/2015, 12:52

Just thought I would pass this on to the anal loaders like me, about this new powder baffle. I bought one for my Dillon 1050 and it has done a good job of keeping my powder charges consistent for the last few months. I just found out they now have one for my hornady so I just ordered it. They have them  for Lee, redding  and RCBS too. Not expensive, 13.95 with shipping.  My experience is that after getting my measure settled which takes 5 or 6 throws I can load as many rounds as I want and then after the last round moves from the measure I put in a empty and check the load and its been right on the money. I mostly use bullseye powder, No guarantee if it will be better than a standard baffle for you or as good with other powders  and I have no interest in the company, just passing info on a product that worked for me.

Sweet! Powder baffles, bike parts and prop covers! Someone is making his hobbies pay off. Good deal.

Thank you very much. I just ordered a Hornady LNL yesterday (but for loading .223,
dare I say that) and anything that might help in throwing a more consistent charge
is greatly appreciated.

I added the RCBS baffle to my Uniflow that I bought in the '80s and it did the same thing, the measure can be run almost dry without the charge ever changing. On top of that it throws stick powders much, much better.
It was $6.95
