Ultradot Polarizing Filter Changes Empty Ultradot Polarizing Filter Changes

Post by Tom Jadlos Mon Jun 22, 2015 4:18 pm

I've found it easier to focus on the dot if I use the polarized filter on my Ultradot.  The problem is the shading does not stay consistent, i.e., it changes from dark to light, sometimes from light to just about black, it's unpredictable.  The filter is new and stiff to turn and I wrapped tape around the barrel of the scope and ring for added insurance.  If I tap on the scope, I can reproduce the change in shading.  Does anyone have any suggestions, solutions, or alternatives?  Like are there better filters.  Would appreciate the help.  Thanks,  Tom

the shading is adjustable and taping will lock in the level of filter.

My problem is the polarizer with my polarized prescription sunglasses.

The lenses will turn within the housing. Take the polarizer apart. Glue the lenses in place.

Gluing the lenses make sense.  Thanks, Mike
