Jerry,
How much gunsmithin do you think it would take to fit a new barrel?

Re: 52 barrels
If you can locate a factory barrel, it's not to tough.. The reason I make them, is to get the benefit of the fast twist, and upper lug fit. The lower/linkless lug is more complex than the 1911 link system.
The other advantage, is fitting the upper lug in the same manner as the 1911.. Standard 52 barrels are not fit to the slide radius..

Re: 52 barrels
I can't imagine me needing one of them. If I was shooting HM scores and thought the barrel would bring me the last couple of points I needed to set some records then I would be knocking on your door. For those of us mere mortal the barrel that came with the 52 shoots way better then we can. I would want one of them of course. But I would not be able to do the barrel justice.

I did a 14 twist early this year with numerous changes/modifications to the 52.. I did not have a 10 twist at the time.. The gun shot very well, and far better than stock, with the 14 twist. A search should pull up lots of pictures..
