With 2.7 gr WST my 52-2 hits dead center in the 10 ring on an indoor slow fire target. I shot it at 50 yards yesterday and it made a decent group but it was waaaay low. Is there really that much bullet drop? How many clicks do you guys do indoor to outdoor.....

Thanks AllAces. Do you know what one click = in inches at 50 yards?

No experience with the 52 but my 5" 41 is about 1/2" per click at 50 yds.

Not that I hold nearly well enough to tell but that's what the math works out to with an 80 tpi elevation screw, 6 clicks per revolution and an 8" sight radius.
YMMV

Roughly calculated many years ago, a .45  at 850 fps drops about 6 inches.  How fast is your 52 bullet traveling?

Oh, forgot, my M52 has an Ultradot.  If I recall correctly, Ransom Rest testing of this setup showed about a 3" drop between 25 and 50 yards.

I wish I had access to a ransom rest. I'm sure some of the drop is me going from a poorly lit indoor range to what I think is perfect lighting at 1pm outdoors. I've never seen the front sight as well indoors. I was thinking about 4 " from 50 ft to 50 yards. Seems like a lot but I guess not. I have no idea how fast its going, but I'm guessing on the slow side.
