New Nelson Conversion
New Nelson. I have about a brick of CCI standard through the unit with only one jam in 2nd full mag run through the conversion.
Accuracy is better than my Ruger MKIII. Thanks to my wife!!!!
The conversion sits on top my Springfield loaded wad gun frame.
Merry Christmas!

Re: New Nelson Conversion
Good luck, I am a believer in Kart style conversions.
I have a Chambers and a Bob Marvel.
Clean em every 700-1000 rounds, clean the chamber ever 200 rounds and they run 100%.
Almost as good as a 208 with a dedicated lower and 2.5 trigger but the 208 does not make you shoot 45acp any better.

Re: New Nelson Conversion
Never seen the chambers conversion could you throw up some pics or any kind of comparison from the marvel or nelson?

Re: New Nelson Conversion
I have the SSG
Difference b/t the Marvel Industries are :
4 point Aim Point Mount
Marlin Micro Grove Barrel Liner
Weight a little heavier
Slide runs smooth
Blued
Price.......
http://chamberscustom.com/22-conversion-units/
Advantage Arms did a Special Edition build by Bob Marvel that is one to get if you are lucky enough to find one, mine has a 0.46 test target and runs great but I like the Chambers better.
I am pretty confident that the Nelson is better than the Marvel Industries and worth the Price.

I have owned a marvel steel lockback never had an issue. Soon to have a nelson. The chambers look like a nice one as well. Accuracy seems to be pretty comparable from all the target level conversions that I have seen. Biggest turn on for the nelson for me is price and support.

Re: New Nelson Conversion
Unless someone adds a Lothar-Walther barrel liner I don't see any benefit over the Nelson, which shoots pretty close to 1/2" groups anyway they won't be getting my green backs. I would prefer an all steel version, hopefully that's an option at some point. Regardless, I'm ecstatic with both of my Nelson conversions.

Re: New Nelson Conversion
All steel nelson would be nice. One think I like about the look of the nelson vs the marvel is how the barrel doesn't extend out.

Re: New Nelson Conversion
Chambers is Marlin Micro groove Barrel and all steel. But the comparison in my view is the difference between a Chambers Wad Gun and Les Baer.
Since I got the SSG my scores have steadily climbed by 100 points on a 900 to 830s. I believe an 860 or better is very possible with the SSG but the real benefit is my cf and 45 scores are up 40 pts too at 1/2 the cost and the troubles with an AW93 or a 208.
The slide is so smooth and consistence that 1/2 ish group is the group you get every single time. You don't feel the slide move when it shoots.
The only set up I would consider is a Pardini and again the the cost benefit is minimal if you have a good lower with a nice trigger.
