Barrel Link Question
How large is the hole on the barrel link suppose to be? Is it perfectly round or slightly elongated? Mine appears to be slightly elongated and the slide stop pin which goes through it fits very loose. I never really paid much attention to this before but was looking at things closely to make sure I had everything ready for the start of shooting season.

Re: Barrel Link Question
It was not uncommon to elongate the slide stop pin hole to prevent binding as I recall. I think it should be a loose fit and allow the barrel lower lugs to seat on the slide stop .

Re: Barrel Link Question
The hole has to be loose enough to rotate freely on the pin. Normally it is round. The links come in assorted lengths so the pistolsmith can fit it precisely. Once in a while a gun will need one that's in between sizes, so the smith will slightly elongate the hole. I wouldn't worry about it unless the gun isn't functioning properly.

No problems with function. Guess I am just being paranoid as it is my father's old gun that he built.
