Walther GSP Question

Can I buy just any .32 cal conversion unit for just any Walther GSP? Or are their differences in past variations or models. A friend of mine has a GSP he may sell and I would be interested but I'd like to know what I need to do to get a conversion unit for it IF I can even do that. It's an older model. At least early 1980's maybe older - I don't know when they went into production.

There are two variations of the older non-expert models I know of. The Expert model may have even more variations.

I have dealt with Walther in Germany before. When they are not on vacation, they do reply quickly.
