Local shop has Federal 711-B in stock, $40.00 / brick. No limit. Anyone use it?

I'm sure some swear by it, others swear at it.
It depends on the pistol. I used it for several years in a High Standard Victor with zero issues. Then the price jumped and I started using Aguila. I tried the 711b that I had left in a Marvel conversion and it would cause problems in every magazine. It was the only ammo that would cause slam fires in an IZH-35 that I used to own.
Due to availability of .22lr I would say, if it works in your pistol, you should probably use it.

I t can be very good stuff and not bad price, before the poop hit the fan on ammo it was 350.00 a case. But like said the gun must like it, my AW 93 did not because it was inconsistent in diameter it would fail to chamber on many rounds, but it shot good in my other guns.

I agree with Robert. People I shoot with swear by it for High Standards, worked well in my Benelli 95 I used to own, Not as reliable in my old M41 as CCI SV, not reliable in conversions is my experience.robert84010 wrote:I'm sure some swear by it, others swear at it.

I like Federal in the White Box as an alternative to CCI SV, its a little hot but its accurate and runs good in a M41 and a Conversion. I just use a buffer in the M41 and a heavy #9 spring for the conversion.

I could not get it to work in Mt M41, but it was okay in my Walther GSP

Runs great in my model 41, not a single miss feed. Very accurate. Best to just pick up a brick and try it out. Also all of my model 41 mags are steel follower.

I bought a couple of boxes of the 719 ammo to try. It is the same except the velocity is 1200 FPS instead of 1080.
The 719 was accurate and functioned in all my guns. The ammo was lubed but did not have excess like some ammo. I have to watch Aguila or the lube will keep a round from chambering.
It seems 711B is becoming available but I was holding out for CCI std vel.

My Marvels won't function properly with 711-B.

I've shot it I. A pardini, a benelli and a high standard. Accuracy was good, overall length was good, and all of the rounds chambered. But, in the last two 50 round boxes, I had 2 failures to fire. Two were in the high standard and two in the Benelli.
