Re: Competitor Numbers
The publicity came with TV coverage which brought in advertisers & sponsors, even replay of event clips on youtube helps bring in sponsorship money because it's additional exposure for the sponsors.jmdavis wrote:Does it have positive revenue because it has tons more publicity?

Re: Competitor Numbers
How interested would people be to know that the Nationals was won last year by a 39 year old 2 time Olympian, or that the year before they were won for the 13th time in 25 years by a retired marine. Bullseye is not boring, while it doesn't go "ding" a split screen on the concentration of a shooter combined with a target shot could go a long way to promote it.
But all we ever really see of Bullseye is a shot from the side or behind the shooter of a target that looks like a blob and makes it impossible to determine whether he or she hit or missed.
Precision shooters shoot precisely.

Re: Competitor Numbers
The Bianchi Cup used to be an invitation only event. Has that changed?Rob Kovach wrote:By the way, if we compare the Precision Pistol Nationals to the Bianchi Cup, which has more competitors?
We still have more by a wide margin...Bianchi only had 268 entrants in 2015.If we want to get more shooters, we need to get more people informed. That is one of the great things that the NRA can and should do. They have a Bully-Pulpit and we all see the emails on an almost daily basis. Why not make some of those emails about competitive shooting.
Shooting Sports USA is sending me emails and facebook articles regularly.
