Any experience with a blinking dot unit such as the red accessory in the picture?

What is the percieved benefit of such a blinking aiming device?

I have no idea. But it does blink with a variable rate, or can be steady on. Intensity is just like a UD, which the scope greatly resembles. It came on a MkII bull barrel that I just had to have.
